The GALIDUX protection has been developed according to the regulations of the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU and the norm EN 1755 under the requirements for CATEGORY 2D or 3D.
This protection allows diesel vehicles to operate in hazardous areas classified as Zone 21 or 22, where the DUST classified as IIIA, IIIB or IIIC can be present in the atmosphere. The temperature will be according to specifications.
The GALIDUX conversion includes the modification of all systems and equipment to comply with the ATEX directive. The elements which might have ignition sources, like hot surfaces, hot exhaust gases, mechanical and electrical sparks, etc. are protected and/or modified with different type of protections (flameproof protection (Ex tb), increased safety (Ex e) Intrinsic Safety (Ex i), Encapsulation (Ex m), etc.)
