HISTORY
1951 – TALLERES GALI
GALI was founded by Salvador Galí as a mechanical construction company under the initial name Talleres GALI in Barcelona, Hospitalet, in the La Torrassa neighborhood. GALI developed cutting-edge products with proprietary technology, all based on the application of compressed air:
- Textile machinery for screen printing on long tables.
- Gearshift levers and reduction gearbox controls for trucks.
- Pneumatic starters for diesel engines.
The products developed by GALI, along with the effort and determination of the founding team, quickly pushed GALI beyond the narrow national borders of that time. Both the textile printing machines, and the pneumatic starters were sold and promoted worldwide, gaining special significance in the European market.
1967 – GALI FRANCE
GALI FRANCE, S.A. was created in Cornellá del Llobregat, the first company in a European country. This company, crossing the then international border, was created to serve French customers and support exports outside Spain.
Currently located in Elne, it provides proprietary technology and products to the GALI Group, while continuing to serve and support the French market and those in its influence.
1969 – TÉCNIC GALI, S.A.
The Spanish parent company, Talleres Gali, moved to Palau de Plegamans, a nearby municipality to Barcelona, and adopted the name Técnic GALI, S.A.
1971 – NEW HEADQUARTER AND GALI DEUTSCHLAND
Between 1971 and 1972, following significant growth, the company relocated to Sentmenat, a neighboring municipality. There, it purchased and built its current headquarters.
That same year, 1971, GALI DEUTSCHLAND, GmbH was founded in Mainz-Kastel, continuing the company’s international commitment to service and close customer relationships, in this case, with manufacturers of diesel engines.
1972 – GALI ITALY
GALI ITALIA, Srl was created in Milan to serve the renowned textile printers in the region.
Located in Cirimido, since 2011, it serves customers in diesel applications, textile printers, and ATEX users in Italy, also contributing textile technology to the Group.
1985 – GALI INTERNACIONAL
The Spanish parent company of the group changed its name to GALI INTERNACIONAL, S.A., adapting to the reality of being the headquarters of a small family-owned multinational.
2001 – GALI 50 YEARS
GALI celebrates 50 years of successful history, with a celebration held at GALI Internacional’s facilities in Sentmenat. The manager and founder, Salvador Galí, received a commemorative badge to mark the occasion.
2007 – GALI CHINA
GALI CHINA Trading Co., Ltd., located in Shanghai, was created with the clear intention of being close to our customers in textile printing and diesel engine manufacturing in Asia.
2016 – GALI SHANGHAI
GALI CHINA moved its offices from Shanghai to the new industrial park in Runzhou, Zhenjiang, to be closer to our customers and improve our services.
At the same time, GALI FRANCE, based in Elne, invested in infrastructure improvements. By increasing the workshop space, they provided more room for various operations. This also improved material circulation and the installation of new machinery, making the company more productive.
2019 – GALI MALAYSIA
Initially based in Malaysia, the new GALI company was created to serve our Southeast Asian customers, including Malaysia and Singapore.
After more than a decade working in Japan through a representative, and considering the importance of the Japanese market for GALI, the group established GALI JAPAN, G.K. with commercial and mechanical services.
2022 – GALI COMPLETE RENOVATION
After more than 50 years of history, it was time to renovate the headquarter in Sentmenat. A comprehensive renovation took a year to complete, resulting in a fresh, organized workspace with everything needed to perform our work in the best possible way. Thus, GALI Internacional entered the 21st century.
2024 – GALI SINGAPORE
With the headquarters now moved to Singapore, offering both commercial and mechanical services, GALI expands its operations where diesel engine manufacturing has seen the greatest growth over the past decade. Focusing on this market, GALI Singapore is officially established.
GALI Japan continues to grow and is opening its own office near the Japanese capital, in Saitama (Tokyo), expanding both its space and staff to continue providing the best service to Japan.
2025 – GALI CHINA OFFICE RENOVATION
It’s been almost 10 years since the acquisition of the GALI CHINA offices in Zhenjiang. So, after a few years since the last renovation, it was time to give the GALI CHINA office and workshop a new look, with updated furniture, fresh paint, and better lighting.
A team effort by all members of the Chinese delegation, sharing ideas and reviewing materials.
GROUP COMPANIES
GALI INTERNACIONAL, S.A.
Main and founding company of the GALI group, GALI Internacional continues to base its growth on the development of proprietary products and serving the markets.
In Barcelona, Spain, GALI Internacional manufactures Air and Hydraulic Starters used for Starting Internal Combustion Engines, as well as a wide variety of components such as lubricators, filters, push buttons, and more. We also carry out ATEX modifications on industrial vehicles and manufacture a broad range of ATEX-certified elements: alternators, electric starters, boxes, battery connectors, etc. Additionally, we produce our Textile Printing Machinery based on the traditional screen printing system.
Our technical department is continuously working to meet the requirements of all our customers in the most advanced fields, such as explosion testing and the development of components for Diesel Engines.
GALI Internacional markets and promotes all its products through a sales team with strong technical knowledge. Our philosophy is based on listening, learning, and serving the market, and our goal is to do so with seriousness and rigor.

GALI DEUTSCHLAND, GmbH
From the beginning GALI founded GALI Deutschland to approach and serve the German Engine Manufacturers.
After so many years, GALI Deutschland has grown in this service and has incorporated its own solutions for Diesel Engine needs. Now GALI Deutschland manufactures and develops technical components for the GALI group such as the Turning Devices to adjust Diesel Engines.
Along with the starting systems, ATEX transformations and other elements, GALI Deutschland is still serving the German and Northern European markets with success, focused like all GALI group on the Service to the Customers.

GALI France was the first company that GALI founded out of Spain. The main reason for its foundation was to consolidate the export and the French market.
From its beginning as a commercial company for GALI products, GALI France has developed and consolidated its market among the most important companies of each sector of application of GALI products. Since years ago GALI France develops and manufactures its own GALI products that the group distributes. The most important are the Air Compressor Sets, Hydraulic Stations, Shut-Off Valves, Air Boosters and Strainers.
GALÍ France has nowadays a technical department highly qualified which brings technical solutions for its applications in markets such as OFFSHORE, ONSHORE, FPSO or for any installation which needs to assure the Starting of Internal Explosion Engines, being by 30 bar compressed Air, Hydraulic or ATEX application.

Initially, GALI Italy was founded to serve the Italian textile printing market, concentrated mostly around the Como area.
Now, GALI Italy is a recognized company offering advanced solutions in a great range of components for Diesel Engines and ATEX protections.
GALI Italy is specialist in the field of diesel engines starting systems, supplied by air, oil and nitrogen. GALI Italy offers starting systems under the GALI standard specifications system fully developed in accordance with the technical requirements of our Customers. The quality of our systems, the competence of our technicians, the responsiveness of our staff and our close service to the Customer, contribute to the success of GALI Italy in these areas.

GALI ZHENJIANG TRADING CO., Ltd
Initially, the headquarters in China was located in Shanghai, but a few years ago we decided to move to Zhenjiang to be even closer to our customers in China. Zhenjiang is one of the 22 provinces of the People’s Republic of China, notable for its local economy based on industry and its major ports along the country’s coastline.
With both Commercial and Mechanical Services, GALI China expands the GALI group’s presence in the market where diesel engine manufacturing has experienced the greatest growth in the last decade. Chinese production itself, as well as that of European, American, and Japanese licensed companies in China, are all supported by GALI China.
The textile printing market is also served by our local Technical Service, enabling GALI China to participate in the growth of custom and high-quality printing, commonly referred to as manual printing, in China.
