GALI turning mechanism designed to slowly rotate the crankshaft

Our engine turning mechanism has been designed to slowly rotate the crankshaft and to lock it in any needed position.

During operation, the engine start-up is interlocked by internal safety features, providing constant feedback to the engine management system. The GALI mechanism allows for accurate and safe positioning thanks to its self-locking device.

This tool is generally mounted via an SAE flange or a separate bracket for temporary installations.

It consists of two main components: the main gear body and the driving unit. The worm gear allows a high reduction (39:1 and 62:1) to apply the necessary torque. It can be driven by pneumatic or electric motors, or even by hand. In multiple engine installations, the drive unit can be removed and used as a portable tool. This feature saves costs and reduces vibration levels to a minimum by leaving only a small part permanently attached to the engine.
