Description of the S38 air starter
The GALI S38 air starter motor has been developed for its installation in internal combustion engines, main and auxiliary reciprocating, with an approximate displacement between 100 and 170 l. Its remarkably high torque, together with its reduced dimensions, lightness and low air consumption, is a guarantee of success even in the most demanding applications. The geared rotor concept provides high durability and high efficiency.
The GALI S38 air starter motor is ready to operate directly at 30 bar, without the need for any auxiliary pressure reduction system. It is a pre-engaged type, lubrication free device, which is equipped with an integrated overspeed safety system to protect the engine.
Its modular design and “Z” shape allows multiple mounting and retrofitting possibilities even in the narrowest spaces.
For very large system inertias or for redundancy requirements, Twin S38 option is possible.
